pet peeve:

ELBOWS. GET THEM CLOSER TO YOUR SIDES! ughh unless the horse was stretching or something but i HATE stiff arms.

does anyone ese have a rider pet peeve? eq or effectiveness, leave it in our ask.

^^ I struggle with my elbows like WHOA but you know what helped me fix it the most? Looking at pictures of riders with shit elbows. It’s an obvious error and not one I care to make now that I have a visual point of reference!

My biggest ped peeve? Riders with their hands in their crotch/round backed. I see it A LOT out here, good riders who I think should know better. It’s wretched looking.

Amy Tryon Passed Away in her sleep today. Tryon represented the United States on two Olympic and two World Equestrian Games teams, bringing home a team gold medal from the World Games in Jerez in 2002 and a team bronze medal from the Athens Olympics in 2004. The world lost a very hardworking and talented equestrian today. May she go to a heaven where there are horses.

oh my…what of??

Beautiful and humble rider Angelica Augustsson, with an inspirational story -
“This girl came from nothing. Never had money to ride, rode at the local pony club and rode the crappy horses etc just to get a ride. Got a job at a sale barn in Germany and brought Mic Mac up from nothing. Horse got sold to Georgina Bloomburg who renamed her Midtown. As you can see the mare is not conventional and a rough ride. She sent her back. As you can see they didn’t even get her name changed before Angelica took over riding her again, their first five star she was just hoping to get some experience. Qualified for her first World Cup. Never had she ever jumped a track like that. She won. She has been on fire since. I love her. She is verryyyyy nice as well. I told her I loved her and that she was an inspiration and she thanked me and yea just very nice woman. And she is only 26.” - diaryofaworkingstudent
